In 2001, Teri Wadsworth, a Consumer Psychologist, and Adam Wadsworth, a former advertising creative, decided to start dig. They hoped by merging their two unique skill sets together they could provide clients with deeper insights and then communicate those insights through much more compelling and emotional storytelling.
Since then, dig has worked with over 150+ of the top global and Fortune 500 brands across every industry from healthcare to retail to automotive to financial services.
Our work is used to inspire genuine consumer intuition and innovative thinking for a variety of initiatives, including brand repositioning, innovation and segmentation. Our deliverables are especially helpful at creating alignment in large organizations across disparate divisions.
Teri Wadsworth, Consumer Psychologist
Teri has 20+ years of experience as a Consumer Psychologist, Moderator, and Strategist. Teri is a former practicing Psychologist who did her graduate training at Columbia University. Teri spent 13 years as a Brand and Context Planner, where she worked on a wide variety of accounts, including retail (Staples, Walmart and Sears) and packaged goods (Coca Cola and P&G), for agencies like Cliff Freeman and Partners, Y&R, and Starcom. While she is adept at many things, Teri is especially gifted at pulling together seemingly disparate elements to find broader insights. When not at dig, Teri indulges in generous helpings of family time with her husband Adam, son Chauncy and daughter Linden. An incorrigible information junky, Teri constantly immerses herself in podcasts, web sites, and books. She has a highly developed sixth sense for locating lost phones, and will almost definitely finish a quilt next year.
Adam is not only a talented moderator who has moderated countless dig explorations, he is also an accomplished documentary film director. An expert on the communication of insights, Adam has spoken around the world on the subject, including a speech at the ESOMAR Global Market Research Forum. Before launching dig, Adam was a Creative Director, Art Director and Copywriter at several of the best creative New York advertising shops. Adam is infatuated with his wife, Teri, his children, Chauncy and Linden, and is addicted to various forms of exercise including running, swimming, weightlifting, tennis, basketball and yoga. Adam also coaches the varsity tennis team at his local high school.
Kirstin is addicted to start-ups. After graduating from Northwestern (MS in IMC), she plunged into the emerging Chicago start-up scene doing brand marketing for several .coms and never looked back. Kirstin went on to work for 14 years at Performics with leadership roles in client service, strategy and product innovation. Kirstin loves tracking cultural trends and data, digging into customer insights, and translating deep understanding into strategy. Kirstin has four children spanning from 12 to 26. In addition to being the cool fun stepmom to Malcolm and Gillian, she is also the mean strict mom to Cooper and Lilah. Kirstin doesn't know what hobbies are anymore, but if she did she would be really into improv and karaoke (or improv-karaoke).
Julian has traveled all around the world since becoming a dig team member in 2008. He was the recipient of the David Letterman Scholarship Award at Ball State for his documentary Ashes of Rhetoric. Since then, Julian has gone on to win several awards for his documentary work, including his most recent documentary short, I Was Here which was named the Best Documentary at the Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival. While not globetrotting and spending time in an editing bay, Julian can be found at the gym, a softball diamond, or at the Music Box Theater. Julian is an ardent lover of plants and his beloved feline roommate, Rolla.
